Men's ice hockey defeated Davenport University 4-3 Friday night at Patterson Ice Center in Grand Rapids, Mich.

After a scoreless first period, Davenport got a lead on the Lions in the beginning of the second period with a power play goal. Minutes later, Riley Spraggs split the pipes with an unassisted power play goal. Seconds later, Tommy Heinzman also got one by Davenport with an assist from Brennan Luscombe and Stephen Bopp. Though the Panthers scored another on keeper Michael Hails, the Lions weren't done scoring in the second period. With just two minutes left, Riley Spraggs got another for Lindenwood with an assist from Tobias Nasgarde and Brennan Devers.

In the beginning of the third period it was Davenport that started strong wtih a power play goal, but the Lions once again returned the shot and with only 24 seconds left in the period Bopp got another by the Panthers with an assist from Luscombe.

Though Davenport outshot the Lions 34-26, Hails managed to stop 31 of the 34 shots. Lindenwood was a perfect 1 for 1 on power plays, while Davenport was 2 for 4.

Ranked second in the American Collegiate Hockey Association, Lindenwood now moves up to 9-5-0 for the season. The Lions will face the Panthers again Saturday November 14, and the puck drops at 5:30 p.m. at the Patterson Ice Center in Grand Rapids, Mich.
