Lions Football Hits The Road For Final Time In 2015

Storylines
- The Lindenwood football team hits the road for the final time in 2015 this Saturday with a 2 p.m. game at Central Oklahoma. The road trip will be the longest one this season for the Lions, and also marks the first time the team has left in the state of Missouri since Sept. 12.

- The Lions enter the week with a 3-6 overall record after seeing their two-game winning streak snapped last week against Central Missouri. The Mules defeated Lindenwood at Hunter Stadium by a 31-0 margin.

- Central Oklahoma has won four out of its last five games, and it is now 4-5 on the season. Last week, Central Oklahoma went on the road and defeated Northeastern State by a 48-17 margin.

- Lindenwood and Central Oklahoma will be meeting for the third time. In 2011, the two teams met in a non-conference game in Edmond, Okla., and Lindenwood won by a 48-14 score. Last year, the two teams met in MIAA action for the first time, and the Bronchos won by a 45-13 margin in St. Charles, Mo.

- Lindenwood linebacker Connor Harris continues his historic season anchoring the team's defense. He enters play this week with 153 tackles, and needs just 24 more stops to break the NCAA Division II record since it began keeping defensive stats in 2000.

- Connor Harris should have several opportunities to add to his tackle total this week as Central Oklahoma is one of the top rushing teams in the MIAA. The Bronchos are 23rd in NCAA Division II with 229.9 rushing yards per game, led by Clay McKenzie who is ninth nationally with 123.7 rushing yards a game.

- Lindenwood's offense will be going against a Central Oklahoma defense that ranks ninth in the MIAA in total defense and eighth in scoring defense. The Bronchos are allowing 175.1 yards a game on the ground, and 231.9 yards a game through the air.

- Lindenwood has a +3 turnover margin on the year in its victories, but is -12 in its losses. Central Oklahoma has a -7 turnover margin on the season.

Lions Offense
- Lindenwood is 11th in the MIAA in scoring offense (16.0), and 10th in total offense (296.4).

- Mason Bendigo has started at quarterback for the Lions for the last five games. In that span, he is averaging nearly 200 passing yards a game, and has seven touchdown passes. Six of those touchdowns came in wins over Nebraska-Kearney and Missouri Southern.

- DeAngelo Strickling has helped Lindenwood form a good 1-2 punch at running back with Lavorrie Johnson. Strickling has rushed for 152 yards over the last two weeks, and is averaging nearly nine yards a carry in those contests.

- Wide receiver Tre' Roby has a team-high 18.7 yards per catch this year. Eight of his 22 receptions have gone for 20 or more yards, and 16 have been first downs or touchdowns.

          - He leads all levels of NCAA football among active players with 464 career tackles.
