Â
Both teams played stout defense during the first half with Bellarmine scoring the only goal at the 14:37 mark.
Victoria Gil defended the goal spectacularly, saving three on seven total shots with her teammates blocking two of them.

Virginie Leyssens also attempted a shot that Moro defended.
Â
Defense continued to be the theme of the game until
Victoria Buysschaert tied the game up with her sixth goal of the season at the 53:40 mark. Banholzer was accredited with the assist after various passes occurred before the junior scored.
Â
Gil was not going to be denied late in the second half as she saved a shot with 39 seconds left. The Knights also managed one extra shot before the end of regulation.
Â
The Lady Lions tried to reboot offensively during overtime, but only recorded a corner shot. Gil saved her fifth shot of the day before the Knights ended the game with a goal at the 78:48 mark.
