The Lindenwood men's wrestling team won the Greyhound Duals hosted by the University of Indianapolis on Saturday. The invitational consisted of the Lions, Indianapolis who ranks No. 16 in NCAA Division II, and Olivet (Mich.). The Lions currently rank No. 13.
 
Competing in their first duel of the season, the Lions took on Indianapolis first. The match was tightly contested throughout the entire time which included one major decision and one pin from each team. Jared Mestas, who competed in the 141 weight match, pinned his opponent at the 4:42 mark, giving the Lions six points. In the 157 weight match, Terrel Wilbourn dominated his opponent with a 19-5 major decision. The Lions also lured in two decision victories from Kyle Jolas and Dillon Archer from the 165 and 197 weight matches respectively. Batchka Zulkhuu's opponent forfeited after getting injured at the 1:12 mark. David Hamil nearly pulled out a nail biter in the 184 weight match, but fell 2-1.
 
After adding the points up, the Lions prevailed over the Greyhounds 22-19.
 
The Lions continued play against Olivet in the last duel of the round robin tournament. Wilbourn followed his major decision victory with a 21-5 technical fall dominating display. In the 149 weight match, Greg Jacquez pinned his opponent at the 1:19 mark. The Lions won five decisions from Danny Swan, Hunter Haralson, Jolas, Zulkhuu, and Archer. The Lions picked up their second and final victory with a final score of 26-15.
 
The Lions will host the Lindenwood Duals after Christmas break, starting January 8 against Ouachita Baptist at noon.
