The Lindenwood men's basketball team played almost a flawless offensive game on Wednesday night at home and beat the Southwest Baptist Bearcats 93-46. The Lions made 54 percent of their shots including 57 from behind the three-point line and 100 percent from the charity stripe.
Â
Things started clicking early for the Lions. The home team started the game on a 27-9 run and the offense just continued to roll from there. Lindenwood would push the lead up to as many as 31 in the opening half.
Michael Boos would close the half with a three and the Lions headed into the locker room leading by 30.
Â
Unfortunately, for the Bearcats the break did not slow down the Lindenwood offense. The Lions began the half on an 11-2 run and pushed the lead up to 39. The margin would push all the way up to as many as 50 in the final half.
Â
Darris Smith led the way scoring 20 points.
LJ McIntosh and Boos each had an 11 while
Cory Arentsen scored 10 points and dishing out six assists.
Sam Mader led the way on the boards grabbing seven rebounds.
Â
The win improved the Lions to 16-8 overall and 11-4 in MIAA play. Lindenwood will travel to Central Missouri on Saturday afternoon for a huge MIAA tilt.Â
