The Lindenwood Lady Lions traveled to Warrensburg, Mo. to take on the Central Missouri Jennies on Saturday afternoon and fell 72-55.
Central Missouri would score the first basket to take the lead and then would never give the lead up. The Jennies pushed the lead up to as many as 18 in the opening half and ended the first 20 minutes up by 12.
Unfortunately, for the Lady Lions the halftime break did not slow down the home team. Central Missouri had its lead up to 21 just eight minutes into the half. The closest the Lady Lions could get was 15 before rolling to the victory.
Lindenwood ended the game shooting 38 percent from the field and 25 percent from the three-point line.
Jenny Rocha led the Lady Lions in scoring with 18 points while also dishing out a team-high three assists.
The loss dropped Lindenwood to 10-13 overall and 3-13 in MIAA play. The Lady Lions will be back home on Wednesday to take on the Northwest Missouri Bearcats in their final home game of the season.
