Lindenwood battled the elements and the Colorado State-Pueblo ThunderWolves and proved they could take on either, in a snowy 15-3 win for the Lions. Lindenwood dominated from the first quarter all the way until the final buzzer, allowing only nine shots compared to the 41 Lindenwood got off.
The Lions opened up with four goals in the first, without letting the ThunderWolves score once, giving Lindenwood a 4-0 lead heading into the second. Lindenwood scored another five unanswered to take a 9-0 lead before Pueblo could score its first goal. The Lions went into the half with a 10-1 lead.
The Lions came out hot in the third as well, scoring four straight goals before Pueblo got its second goal, putting the score at 14-2. The Lions cruised in the fourth quarter securing a 15-3 non-conference win.
Standing out offensively for the Lions were
Kevin Eskridge, who shot his way to five goals and
Josh Coons, who finished with four goals and two assists.
Graeme Hossack was all over the field, bringing in 12 ground balls and five caused turnovers.
Lindenwood now gets ready to compete against Fontbonne University for the rescheduled game that was supposed to take place last Friday on Sunday, March 15th in Hunter Stadium.
