The Lindenwood softball team split a doubleheader on Wednesday afternoon against Fontbonne. The Lady Lions lost game one 5-0 but won the second game 9-5.

The Lindenwood offense was shut down in game one only mustering two hits.
Rachel Overton started for the Lady Lions and gave up four earned runs in the loss.

In game two the offense woke up. Lindenwood pounded out 12 hits and scored nine runs in the win.
Alexandra Newcomb led the offense with three hits at two RBIs.
Madison Huot drove in three runs and had two hits.

Morgan Colvis pitched the final our innings of the game and earned the win.

The Lady Lions are now 5-21 on the season. Lindenwood will be back in action on Friday afternoon against Nebraska-Kearney.Â
