Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 The Lady Lions softball team was swept at home by the Nebraska-Kearney Lopers on Friday afternoon. The Lopers won a close one in game one 3-1 but then blew the Lady Lions out in game two 20-2.

The opening game of the day was a great game. The two teams scored early runs and the game was tied heading into the seventh inning. Nebraska-Kearney was able to bring across two in the top of the seventh inning and that was all the visitors needed.

Game two of the day was all Lopers scoring 20 runs in five innings and cruising to the victory. The Lady Lions were outhit 16-5 in the game.

The sweep drops the Lady Lions to 5-23 overall and 1-9 in MIAA play. Up next for Lindenwood is a home series against Fort Hays State at home.
