Lindenwood's men's and women's tennis teams hosted William Jewell College for tennis duals on Saturday morning. Lindenwood came away with two victories for the first time this spring, with the men sweeping William Jewell, while the women won 5-4.
Filip Bogic dominated his match, winning 6-2, 6-1.
Johannes Rabenhorst didn't allow his opponent to score more than one point, get a victory 6-1, 6-1. Rabenhorst teamed with Yoshi Ysa in doubles for an 8-2 win.
Nicholas Bruenger and
Slobodan Bavrlic worked together to seal Lindenwood's 9-0 win.
For the women, the match was much closer. After the women started down 2-1 after doubles, the Lady Lions bounced back with a 6-1, 7-6 victory from
Diana Castro.
Gloria Marras came through with a clutch from behind victory to seal Lindenwood's win.
Coming up next for both tennis teams is a home match against McKendree University on March 23rd.
