Lindenwood continued its Spring Break road trip on Tuesday, but the women lost 6-3 and the men lost 7-2. Both teams were without their top player, with
Filip Bogic out for the men and
Gloria Marras forced to take the day off because of the high frequency of matches.
Getting victories in the singles for the women were
Diana Castro, winning 6-4, 6-3 and
Savannah Martin, who took a victory in the third set.
Mariona Pinol and Castro worked together to give the Lady Lions an 8-3 doubles victory. The win wasn't enough, as the Lady Lions ultimately fell 6-3.
Getting the lone singles victory for the men was
Nicholas Bruenger, by defeating his opponent 7-5, 6-2. For the other Lindenwood point, Anvar Akhmtov and
Naoufal El Idrissi teamed up to defeat their opponents 8-6. The men's team fell 7-2.
The men's record goes to 3-7, while the women's moves to 3-8. Both teams will be back in action tomorrow when they travel to New Orleans University in New Orleans, La. The women will be playing their fourth match in five days.
