The Lindenwood Lions baseball team lost 15-6 to the Missouri Southern State Lions on Saturday afternoon in Joplin, Mo.
Lindenwood scored the first run of the game in the top of the first inning but that was quickly answered by Missouri Southern with two runs in the bottom of the first.
The second inning saw neither team score a run and then in the third things were a little different. Lindenwood started the third with two runs on four hits then Missouri Southern exploded for five runs on six hits.
Missouri Southern added to its lead with runs in the fourth, sixth, and two in the seventh and four in the eighth. Lindenwood was able to pound out 15 hits but committed four errors on defense.

Michael Bibbs, and
Drew Quinones all had three hits for Lindenwood. Bibbs and
Mike Wilson each drove in a pair of runs as well.
The loss runs the Lindenwood record to 5-7 overall and 0-1 in MIAA play. Lindenwood and Missouri Southern will play again Sunday afternoon in Joplin.
