The Lindenwood men's volleyball team cruised to a non-conference victory on Saturday after at Hyland Arena by a 3-0 score against Mount St. Joseph. The Lions won by scores of 25-21, 25-17, and 25-15.

The Lions got off to a slow start in the first set, but ended it on an 8-4 run which gave the team a four-point win. Lindenwood took over the match in the final two sets, including getting some quality playing time from some bench contributors who haven't seen much game action yet this year.

Colin Hackworth had nearly a perfect match offensively. He took 14 swings and recorded kills on all but one of them. He finished with a .857 hitting percentage. Hackworth also led the team with three service aces and 17 points, and tied for the team-high with two blocks.Â
Roman Seghezzi finished with 24 assists and
Ryan Vorderer had a team-high four digs.

In the final set,
Michael Chard and Tim Kafke each had 3.5 points. Chard had three kills and a block assist, while Kafke had two kills, one solo block, and one block assist.
Mike Harris had 10 assists, three digs, and two block assists to help the Lions earn the sweep. Another key contributor was
Blake Koppel who had two kills in three attempts.

Lindenwood improves to 5-6 on the year. The Lions will have another non-conference match on Tuesday evening when Charleston visits Hyland Arena at 7 p.m.
