Lindenwood's Men's tennis team defeated Washburn University's 5-4, but the women's team fell short, losing 8-1. Washburn's men's team was ranked No. 6 in the region.
Helping the men get the win was
Yoshikazu Ysa, who battled his way to a 7-5 third set victory.
Johannes Rabenhorst did the same, winning 6-4 in the third set of his match.
Slobodan Bavrlic won his match in straight sets, 6-0,6-3. Lindenwood won two of the three doubles matches, with
Naoufal El Idrissi and
Filip Bogic winning a tight match, 9-8.
Slobodan Bavrlic and
Nicholas Bruenger won their match 8-6. The Lady Lions that got their only victory of the day was in a doubles match,
Diana Castro and
Alexandra Medvedeva.
With the win, the men's tennis team improves to 5-11, while the women's team drops to 5-13. Coming up next the Lindenwood tennis teams is a home match against Northwest Missouri State University.
