The Lady Lions hosted its home opener with a 2-0 victory over Newberry on Friday night.
 
Graycen Dave put the Lady Lions on the board as she scored off a pass from Karlie Quinn at the 2:59 mark. Victoria Gil continued to build off her defensive player of the week performance with four more saves. At the 37:08 mark, Chloe Bell added her fourth goal of the season to extend the Lady Lions' lead by two.
 
The Lady Lions shot 13 times while its defense held the Wolves' offense to eight shots.
 
The Lady Lions continue their three-game home stretch as it takes on Hendrix Saturday at noon.
