The Lindenwood women's volleyball team defeated Quincy 3-1 on Tuesday night at Hyland Arena in St. Charles, Mo.

The Lady Lions had a great night on the court and put up at least 25 points in all four sets. The Lindenwood student body came out to support the women's volleyball team which gave the Lady Lions a boost to a 25-20 victory in set one. Lindenwood fell in set two 29-27, but played very well throughout the set.

The Lady Lions bolted through set three with a strong 25-16 win. Much like set two, the fourth set was a back-and-forth battle between the Lady Lions and Hawks resulting in a 29-27 victory for Lindenwood and a 3-1 win over Quincy.

Sarah Makowski had an outstanding match by posting 14 kills and led the team with four blocks.Â
Sarah-Jane Pavlik dished out 46 assists and added two kills.Â
Jessica Krygsheld scored 11 kills including the match point in set four.

Lindenwood improves to 7-2 on the year. The Lady Lions have a long break before they travel to Pittsburg, Kan. on September 25th to take on Pitt State at 7 p.m. to open MIAA play.
