The Lindenwood wrestling team routed Central Missouri by a final score of 36-9 on Wednesday night. This win marked the Lions' second win in a row in the MIAA.
After going down 6-0, the Lions steamrolled through their next six matches.
Hunter Haralson catapulted the Lions back to 6-6 by pinning his opponent in the first round.
Jared Mestas kept his opponent down without allowing a point, winning a 5-0 decision.
Colton Orlando stepped onto the mat and did not stay long, pinning his opponent in just 17 seconds. It was his third dual win of the season with an overall record of 9-3 and 13 points earned. He now shares first place with Haralson and
Batchka Zulkhuu on the team with five pins of the season.
Terrel Wilbourn, the nation's No. 1 wrestler at 157, made quick work of his match, collecting his fourth pin of the season. His outstanding season includes 40 points earned and an impeccable 14-0 overall record with eight of them coming from dual play.
Kyle Jolas grinded out a 7-2 decision to give the Lions a 24-6 lead followed by a Mules' forfeit at 174-pounds.

Dillon Archer picked up his eighth victory in his last nine matches by a 5-2 decision at 197 pounds. His 17th total victory of the season extended the Lions' lead to 33-9.
Competing at 285 pounds, Jacob Borgmeyer trailed 1-0 heading into the third round. He started on the ground, but got back up to earn one point. Just under a minute left, Borgmeyer came in clutch with a takedown to cap off a 3-2 decision and an overall dominating display of wrestling for the Lions.
Lindenwood recorded four pins and four decisions for the day as it improved to 6-2 for the season and 2-1 in the MIAA. The Lions return to Hyland Arena on Tuesday, January 26 to take on the Bearcats of McKendree in a non-conference dual. First match will start at 7 pm.
