Series Notes:-The Lindenwood women's hockey team returns to the Lindenwood Ice Arena for the first time in 2016 for a two-game series with the top-ranked team in the CHA, the Mercyhurst Lakers on Friday, Jan. 22 and Saturday, Jan. 23. Puck drop is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Friday evening, followed by a 1 p.m. start time on Saturday afternoon.
-Earlier this month, the Lady Lions embarked on a four-game road trip with two WCHA opponents, the Minnesota State-Mankato Mavericks and the Bemidji State Beavers. Lindenwood went 1-3-0 during the four-game stretch, picking up a 3-1 victory on Jan. 4 at Minnesota State-Mankato. Â
-On Nov. 13-14 the Lady Lions and Lakers met for a two-game series at Mercyhurst Ice Center in Erie, Pa. Both games were decided by one goal, with Mercyhurst was victorious in each, winning by scores of 3-2 and 2-1. During the game on Nov. 13, the two teams entered into the third peirod tied 2-2, before the Lakers scored the game-winning goal 24 seconds into the third period. The following afternoon, the Lady Lions recorded their lone shorthanded goal of the season, but were unable to overcome the Lakers two first period goals. The Lakers lead the all-time series 16-1-1.
-The CHA leading Mercyhurst Lakers arrive in Wentzville, Mo. with a record of 10-8-4 and 7-1-2 in conference play. The Lakers are coming off of a two-game series with the Syracuse Orange. Mercyhurst is led offensively by the duo of Rachael Smith and Jenna Dingeldein who have 18 and 17 points, respectively.
Lindenwood Notes:-
Britannia Gillanders picked up the first three-point game of her career on Jan. 7 during the 5-3 loss at No. 6 ranked Bemidji State. Gillanders now ranks second on the team in goals scored with seven scores to her credit.

Carla Goodwin tallied a goal and an assist on Jan. 7, marking the first multi-point performance of her career. Goodwin scored just 36 seconds into the action vs. No. 6 ranked Bemidji State. The freshman now has three goals and three assists on the season.

Holly Dietzler has recorded points in consecutive games for the first time in her career as a Lady Lion. Â

Emily Gunderson scored her second power-play goal of the season during the second period on Jan. 7. Gunderson now ranks second on the squad in power-play goals, trailing team-leader

Corbin Welsh continues to pace the Lady Lions in the faceoff circle, winning 49.8% of her draws. Jasper ranks second amongst qualified skaters with a 46.7% success rate, followed by
Shannon Morris-Reade with a mark of 45.8%. Â

Jolene deBruyn made her fifth start of the season on Jan. 6 at No. 6 Bemidji State, marking her third road start of the season vs. a ranked opponent. The freshman goaltender has compiled a .934 save percentage and a 2.82 goals against average. Â

Nicole Hensley turned in a season-high 53 saves on Jan. 7, growing her career total to 3,751, just 58 saves behind the NCAA all-time saves record. Â
-The Lady Lions will hit the road for a two-game series on Jan. 29-30 with the Robert Morris Colonials from RMU Island Sports Center in Pittsburgh, Pa. The Colonials currently rank third in the CHA with a record of 12-8-4 and 4-3-3 in conference play.
