The Lindenwood women's volleyball team lost to No. 4 Nebraska-Kearney 3-0 on Friday night in Hyland Arena

The Lady Lions opened the night with a 25-20 loss in set one, but
Sarah Makowski posted five kills while hitting .333 and
Shannon Doyle tallied four kills on a .250 hitting percentage.Â
Alex Bogusz tallied two blocks while
Jessica Krygsheld and
Allyson Clancy each tallied one.

The Lopers jumped out to an early lead in set two, but the Lady Lions battled back late in the set. Krygsheld compiled three kills and three digs, while Clancy dished out 11 dimes including one to
Haley Sigel for her first kill of her career. Lindenwood lost 25-18 and went into the break down two sets to none.

Set three was controlled by Nebraska-Kearney in the early portion and continued to pour on the pressure. The Lopers took set three by a 25-16 margin. Makowski ended her night with two blocks and eight kills while Doyle led the team with nine kills. Krygsheld had six kills, six digs, and three blocks.

Lindenwood falls to 8-13 on the season and 4-7 in the MIAA. The Lady Lions return to Hyland Arena on Tuesday to take on Illinois-Springfield at 7 p.m. in St. Charles, Mo.
