The Lindenwood women's volleyball team defeated Illinois-Springfield 3-0 on Tuesday night in Hyland Arena in St. Charles, Mo.

The Lady Lions jumped out to a blistering 7-0 start in set one and cruised to a 25-12 win to open the night.Â
Shannon Doyle led the Lady Lions with six kills and posted one block.Â
Jessica Krygsheld tallied four kills and three blocks while
Allyson Clancy dished out 14 assists. Lindenwood hit .324 as a squad including four attackers over .333 for the set.

Lindenwood had a tough time keeping the Prairie Stars quiet in the second set, but hit .239 en route to a 25-20 victory. Krygsheld posted five kills and six digs with the help of 15 assists from Clancy.Â
Sarah Makowski put up four kills and registered two blocks. Doyle added two blocks of her down to go along with her two kills in the second set.

The Lady Lions closed out the night with a 25-23 victory in set three with the help of six kills by
Haley Sigel and 12 digs from
Megan Hellwege.Â
Brandy Reinhardt tallied four kills and Clancy handed out 12 assists.

On the night, Lindenwood hit .244 with the help of a .333 hitting percentage from Doyle whole totaled 11 kills on the night. Krygsheld added 11 kills of her own while compiling 11 digs. Makowski posted four blocks and eight kills, while Hellwege put up 25 digs, and Clancy finished with 41 assists.

Lindenwood improves to 9-13 on the season. The Lady Lions will head to Pittsburg, Kan. on Friday to take on Pittsburg State at 6 p.m.
