The Lindenwood men's basketball team fell to Simon Fraser for a second straight day on Saturday afternoon in Burnaby, British Columbia. The Lions had a chance to win at the buzzer, but their shot did not fall in a 73-72 loss.

For the second straight day, Lindenwood started slow as Simon Fraser jumped out to a 16-7 lead. The Lions chipped into that advantage for the rest of the half, and used a 9-0 run to take a 37-34 lead into halftime.

Simon Fraser hit eight three-pointers in the game, including four key ones in the second half. The Lions led for the first 13 minutes of the half, but the Clan hit three-pointers on three straight possessions to take a 67-63 lead. Lindenwood led one more time at 70-69 with 2:31 left, but Simon Fraser got two straight layup for a 73-70 lead.
Adam Pohlman knocked down two free throws to get the Lions within one. The Clan missed the front end of a one-and-one with seven second left, but Lindenwood's final three-point shot was off the mark in the final seconds.

Simon Fraser ended the game shooting 46 percent from the field, including 53.6 percent in the final half when it outscored the Lions by four points. The Lions shot 44.8 percent from the field, and continued to struggle from long distance on their road trip, knocking down just 30 percent from three-point range.

Dominique Dobbs had his third double-double of the year with 24 points and 11 rebounds.
Brenon Larson-Gulsvig had 16 points, and
Jackson Price came off the bench to score 14.
Adam Pohlman had a team-high four assists and two steals, and Dobbs blocked three shots.

Lindenwood falls to 3-2 on the season. The Lions will have Sunday off before taking on Douglas on Monday at 7 p.m. (9 p.m. central) in British Columbia.
