The Lindenwood women's volleyball team fell in straight sets to No. 16 Central Missouri on Tuesday night in Hyland arena in St. Charles, Mo.

The Lady Lions played the opening set with energy, but fell 25-19. Lindenwood hit .171 in the set with the help of five kills by
Sarah Makowski and four kills by
Bailey Dvorak.Â
Allyson Clancy dished out 12 assists in the opening set and added one dig.

Aleah Rosenau posted three kills in the second set as the Lady Lions fell 25-17.Â
Alex Bogusz had two blocks with one kill, Makowski tallied two blocks and two kills, and Clancy dished out nine assists with two blocks. Lindenwood hit just .025 while the Jennies hit .222 for the set.

Shannon Doyle led the team in the final set with five kills, but the Jennies put the match away with a 25-16 win in set three. Bogusz added two more blocks with one kill while Clancy tallied 11 assists, one service ace, and one dig. Lindenwood hit .117 on the night while its opposition hit .333 in the match. Doyle tallied eight kills to lead the team while Doyle, Rosenau, and Makowski each finished with seven. Bogusz put up four blocks on the night as Clancy finished with 32 assists and two blocks.

Lindenwood falls to 11-17 on the season and 5-11 in the MIAA while No. 16 Central Missouri improves to 20-9 on the season and 9-7 in the MIAA. The Lady Lions will end the season with a two-game road trip, beginning with a Friday night matchup in Maryville, Mo. against No. 25 Northwest Missouri at 7 p.m.
