Series Notes:
- The Lindenwood women's hockey team closes out the 2016 calendar year with a two-game non-conference home series versus the North Dakota Fighting Hawks. The series is scheduled for Dec. 16-17 at Lindenwood Ice Arena, and puck drop for each game will be at 2:00 p.m.
- Lindenwood and North Dakota have faced off five times in NCAA action, with North Dakota holding the edge in the all-time series, 5-0-0. The two teams last met on October 5, 2013, and only four members of that year's team remain on the current Lindenwood roster.
- Lindenwood has earned points in five of its last seven games dating back to Nov. 12 at Penn State. The Lady Lions secured eight of a possible 14 points over that stretch, including conference victories over RIT and Mercyhurst.
- North Dakota enters the weekend ranked as the No. 10 team in the country. Most recently the Fighting Hawks swept a home series over WCHA rivals, St. Cloud State. North Dakota is led offensively by Amy Menke, who has team-high marks in goals, assists, and points. Lexie Shaw has started 19 games in goal for the Fighting Hawks, posting nine wins, including five shutouts. Shaw ranks fourth in the nation with a 1.40 goals against average, while her .937 save percentage is the eighth-best mark in the country.

Taylor Girard tallied the first multi-goal game of her career on December 3 versus Mercyhurst. Girard found the back of the net twice in the final period, including the first game-winning goal of her career.

Shannon Morris-Reade scored her second power-play goal of the season, and second goal in three games on December 3 versus Mercyhurst. Morris-Reade is tied for the team lead with two power-play goals.

Cierra Paisley each dished out two assists in the December 3 contest versus Mercyhurst. Paisley leads the team with six assists.
- The reigning CHA goalie of the month,
Jolene deBruyn, stopped 54 of 58 shots in her two starts against Mercyhurst, earning her third victory of the season on December 3.
- deBruyn ranks second among qualified CHA goaltenders with a .926 save percentage this season. For her career, deBruyn boasts a .927 save percentage.Â
- Lindenwood was a perfect seven-for-seven while on the penalty kill in the two games against Mercyhurst. Lindenwood has successfully killed off 25 of its last 26 chances over its last six games for a 96.2 percent mark.
- After scoring the first goal of the game on December 3, Lindenwood improved its record to 3-1-2 when scoring first this season. Over the last three seasons the Lady Lions are 16-14-5 when scoring first.
- Lindenwood is winning 45.6 percent of its faceoffs this season. That number is up from 44.1 percent last season, and would be the highest single-season team winning percentage in Lindenwood's NCAA era.
