Lindenwood wrestling had a huge day on Sunday as four wrestlers qualified for the NCAA Division II National Championships in Sioux Falls, S.D. by placing in the top four of their weight class.
Danny Swan lost in the semi-finals to start the day off, but picked the critical win to place him in the top four. He defeated Taylor Curtis of Southwest Minnesota State by a 6-3 decision to advance him into the finals of the consolation. He lost by a tight 2-1 decision, giving him a fourth-place finish in the 125-pound weight class.
The undefeated streak continues for senior
Terrel Wilbourn as he swept through the day with a 2-1 decision over Greg Hegarty of Maryville and a pin against Matt Mincey of Minnesota State at Mankato in the finals. Wilbourn has collected 21 victories of the season wrestling at 157 pounds.
At 165 pounds,
Kyle Jolas advanced to the finals after defeating Allan Person of Central Missouri by a 7-4 decision. He would fall in the finals, earning a second-place finish.
Dillon Archer could not get past the semi-finals, but bull-dozed through his next two matches. He pinned both Darick Vancura of Minnesota State at Mankato and Ryan Parmely of Upper Iowa which would award him a third-place finish.
The national championships will take place on March 11 and March 12 starting at 9 a.m.

Danny Swan earned a first-round bye in the 125-pound flight before winning an 11-4 decision in the second round. That victory advanced him to the semi-finals for a matchup against Maleek Williams from Upper Iowa.
At 133 pounds,
Hunter Haralson registered two victories to reach the semi-finals, including an 11-1 major decision. He awaits Dakota Bauer of Maryville on Sunday in attempt to get a guaranteed spot at nationals.
Terrel Wilbourn received the top-seed in the 157-pound bracket which granted him a first-round bye. He then took advantage of the rest and won a 4-2 decision for a spot in the semi-finals. He will face Greg Hegarty of Maryville.
Kyle Jolas also advanced to the semi-finals thanks to a dominating performance in the first round. He posted a technical fall at the 5:29 mark then won a 6-3 decision in the second round. He will take on MIAA rival Allan Person from Central Missouri for a spot in the finals of the 165-pound field.
Jake Landals had a tough draw as he faced No. 1 seed Aero Amo from Augustana in the second round. Landals put up a good fight, but fell by a 5-1 decision. However, Landals remains standing after pinning his first opponent in the consolation bracket. He will face Nick Burghardt from Maryville next in the third round of the consolation at 184 pounds.
Dillon Archer became the fifth Lion of the day to go undefeated, reaching the semi-finals after a pin and an 8-6 decision. He takes on top seed Ryan Beltz of Maryville.
The Lions as a team currently rank third out of 15 schools in total points, collecting 43. They only trail St Cloud State and Maryville. The tournament will resume on Sunday at 11 am.
