The Lindenwood men's volleyball team fell to No. 4 Loyola Chicago on Friday night at Hyland Arena. The final scores of the match were 25-21, 25-23, and 25-19.
The defending NCAA Division I-II National Champions hit .387 for the match, while Lindenwood hit just .143. The Lions had more kills in the match, but also made 20 more hitting errors. Loyola Chicago had a sideout percentage above 70 percent in every set, while Lindenwood had a sideout percentage above 70 percent in just the second set.
Jake Duckworth and
Ryan Moore both had 13 kills in the match. Moore added two service aces and had a team-high 15.5 points.
Roman Seghezzi collected 29 assists while directing the offense. Defensively,
Ryan Vorderer had 16 digs, the most by a Lion this season.
Connor Hipelius had a team-high two blocks.
Lindenwood falls to 2-6 overall and 0-2 in MIVA play. The Lions return to action on Saturday night with a 7 p.m. home match against No. 13 Lewis.
