The Lindenwood wrestling team had a difficult time against No. 5 Nebraska-Kearney on Saturday night, losing by a final score of 31-9. The Lions entered the dual ranked No. 10.
Terrel Wilbourn continued his undefeated campaign with a 4-3 decision over No. 5 Chase White in the 157 weight-class. Wilbourn remains No. 1 in that pool with a record of 17-0 and 51 points earned in dual play.
Kyle Jolas nearly pulled off a major decision victory at 165 pounds, but edged out his opponent by a final score of 13-7. It was his 23rd win of the season.
Jake Borgmeyer followed up his dual-clinching win over Fort Hays with his 17th victory of the season. He won by a 4-3 decision in the heavyweight matchup.
The Lions return to the mat at Maryville on Wednesday, February 10 at 7:00 p.m.
