The Lindenwood baseball team lost its final game of a three-game set against Central Oklahoma by a score of 5-3 on Sunday afternoon.
Â
Brendan Kleekamp started on the mound for the Lions, and his day began with one run allowed on one hit in the first inning. Kleekamp settled down and was nails for the next five innings as he did not allow another hit until the fifth inning. Lindenwood finally put up a run in the top of the sixth after

Paul Sherwood to tie the game at 1-1.
Â
The Lions began to see offensive production late in the game by taking the lead in the top of the seventh after
Rayce Singbush drove in
Bobby Lang on a sacrifice fly. Central Oklahoma regained its lead in the bottom of the seventh with a two-run inning to take a 3-2 lead. Prindle scored in the top of the eighth inning after Lang singled to left field with two outs to tie the game again, this time at 3-3.
Â
Lindenwood struggled to keep the Bronchos offense at bay and surrendered two runs in the bottom of the eight to fall behind 5-3. The Lions had a chance in the top of the ninth with two runners on, but could not get over the hump and fell 5-3.
Â
Prindle had a great day at the plate with two doulbes and an RBI, while Sherwood had a double and one run scored. Kleekamp finished his day with eight innings pitched, five runs allowed on five hits, and five strikeouts.
