The Lindenwood men's volleyball team was swept in a weekend series with Grand Canyon after it lost the second match by a 3-0 score on Saturday night in Hyland Arena. The Lions fell by scores of 25-18, 25-12, and 25-20.
Grand Canyon's defense was the difference as it had eight blocks and 28 digs. The Lions finished with 28 hitting errors on the night, and also had nine service errors and five reception errors.
Ryan Moore and
Connor Hipelius each had a team-high eight kills. Hipelius hit .400 for the match and led the team with two blocks.
Adam Brewster had 17 assists and seven digs, and
Ryan Vorderer led the team with nine digs.
Lindenwood falls to 4-14 overall and 2-10 in MIVA action. The Lions return to the court next Friday with an important home match with IPFW at 7 p.m.
