The Lindenwood men's volleyball team started its final home weekend of the season off on the wrong note with a 3-0 loss to IPFW. The Mastodons won by scores of 25-13, 25-21, and 25-21.
IPFW came into the game leading the MIVA in digs and nearly reached its average with 25 digs on the night. It also blocked 11 shots and held the Lions to a .058 hitting percentage. Offensively, IPFW hit .333 for the match, and the Mastodons recorded 13 more points in the contest.
Lindenwood was led in kills by
Ryan Moore with nine.
Jake Duckworth had seven and
Connor Hipelius had six.
Roman Seghezzi had 22 assists,
Ryan Vorderer had 10 digs, and
Josh Jones, Duckworth, and Hipelius all blocked two shots.
The Lions fall to 4-15 on the season and 2-11 in MIVA action. Lindenwood has its final home match of 2016 on Saturday night when it hosts nationally-ranked Ball State at 7 p.m. at Hyland Arena.
