The Lindenwood baseball team fell to Central Missouri on Tuesday night in Warrensburg, Mo. by a 5-1 score.
Â
Central Missouri was able to take advantage of five extra-base hits in the game, including three in one inning to put the game away. The Mules already led 2-1 in the seventh when two triples and a double added two more runs to their tally. They added one more unearned in the eighth which was more than enough against a Lindenwood offense that had just six singles, and hit two-of-15 with runners on base.
Â
Kyle Teter had the hot bat for Lindenwood with three hits in four at-bats. He played a role in the Lions' only run of the night when his single loaded the bases in the fourth inning.
Jackson Fuller then plated
Mike Ehrhard with a sacrifice fly.
Â
Brendan Feldmann had a quality start for Lindenwood, allowing six hits and two runs in six innings. He also walked two and struck out four.
Â
With the loss, the Lions fell to 11-14 overall and 5-12 in the MIAA. Lindenwood stays on the road this weekend with a three-game series at Missouri Western.
