Both Lindenwood tennis teams played their last matches of spring break on Friday. The men faced the Bison of Oklahoma Baptist and the women took on MIAA-opponent Central Oklahoma.
The men reeled off one win in doubles while falling in the other two.
Filip Bogic and
Naoufal El Idrissi picked up the victory by a final score of 8-6 at No. 1. In singles, the Lions won just one match which came from the play of El Idrissi at No. 2, winning 6-4, 6-2. Bogic played a close first set at No. 1, but could not hang on as he fell 7-5, 6-0.
The rest of the Lions lost in straight sets as their record fell to 5-8 on the season. They are scheduled to play against the University of Missouri-St. Louis on Tuesday, April 5 at 3 pm.
The women fell by a final score of 8-1 against the Bronchos. The lone win came at No. 4 singles when
Diana Castro won in three sets. She won 10-8 in the super tiebreaker.
The women will take six days off until they host Southwest Baptist with the men on Thursday, April 7 at 2 pm.
