The Lindenwood men's volleyball team ended its home schedule on Saturday night at Hyland Arena with a 3-0 loss to No. 9 Ball State. The Cardinals won by scores of 25-14, 25-18, and 25-18.

The story on the night for the Lions was the play of Mike Harris, who was playing his final home match at Hyland Arena. Harris started the third set for the Lions after the team was hitting just .038 after two sets. Harris directed Lindenwood to a .250 hitting percentage for the final set, and set a career-high in assists.

Harris' final three assists came during a 3-0 run late in the match which pulled the team within four points of the Cardinals at 21-17. Ball State scored four of the final five points though to close out the match.

Harris finished the night with a team-high 16 assists, including 12 in that final set. He also had a block and a dig. Two other seniors were playing their final home match. Roman Seghezzi had 12 assists in two sets, and also had one kill. Josh Jones had a service ace and tied for the team-high with two blocks.

Lindenwood's kill leader was Jake Duckworth who finished with 12, and he also had two blocks and a team-high 13.5 points. Michael Chard paced the team with five digs.

Lindenwood falls to 4-16 overall and 2-12 in MIVA action. The Lions end their regular season next week with two matches, starting with a Wednesday contest at McKendree.
