The Lindenwood baseball team lost 3-1 to Washburn on Friday evening in Topeka, Kan.

Washburn jumped on the board in the fourth inning with two runs, but
Geoff Hartlieb did not stop battling on the hill.Â
Nathan Prindle drew a bases-loaded walk in the sixth inning to cut the deficit in half. The Ichabods scored another run in the seventh inning to regain a two-run lead. Lindenwood struggled to put up any more runs as they dropped the second game of the series by a 3-1 margin.

Hartlieb tossed a complete game by going eight innings with nine strikeouts, while allowing three runs on just five hits.Â
Kyle Teter is continuing to swing a hot bat as he went 2-for-4 on the day with a double and one run scored. The Lions only had six hits in the game, while to defense committed two erros.

The Lions fall to 16-21 on the season with a 10-17 mark in the MIAA. Lindenwood will close out the season-series with a 1 p.m. game on Saturday against Washburn in Topeka, Kan.
