The Lindenwood baseball team defeated Emporia State 4-2 on Sunday afternoon to win the season series at the Lou Brock Sports Complex in St. Charles, Mo.

Connor Law again was a work horse for the Lions as he threw nine strong innings for the complete-game victory. Law allowed just two runs on three hits, with two strikeouts, and just one earn run surrendered. Â
Nathan Prindle opened up the offense in the first inning with a single, a stolen base, and a run scored on a
Mike Ehrhard single. Law did not allow a hit until the fourth inning, and again until the eighth inning, to help keep the Lions in front.

Drew Quinones extended the Lindenwood lead to 3-0 after a two-run home run down the right field line.Â
Rayce Singbush added to the lead after scoring on a
Jackson Fuller single put Lindenwood up 4-0 after seven innings of play. Law surrendered two runs in the top of the eighth, but shut down the Hornets in the ninth to hold on for the 4-2 victory.

Kyle Teter had a strong weekend for the Lions with a team-high seven hits, while
Wes Degener and Ehrhard each had five hits over the three-game span. Law tallied his sixth win of the season after his great pitching performance on Sunday.

Lindenwood improves to 19-24 on the season and now stand at 13-19 in the MIAA. The Lions will travel to Jefferson City, Mo. on Wednesday to take on Lincoln in the final game of the three-game series which begins at 4 p.m.
