The Lindenwood baseball team defeated Northeastern State 11-4 in game one on Thursday night at the Lou Brock Sports Complex in St. Charles, Mo.

The Lions put together a big five-run inning in the second with the help of a two-RBI double by
Jackson Fuller.Â
Wes Degener doubled to drive in Fuller, and
Nathan Prindle hit a two-run home run to put the Lions up 5-0. Lindenwood surrendered two runs in the top of the third inning, but responded with another big inning.Â
Kyle Teter hit a single to drive in
Ryan Sosnowski, and a single by
Vince Saladino drove in two runs. Prindle hit drove in another run with a single, while Sosnowski capped off the inning with a two-run single.

Lindenwood allowed two runs in the top of the fourth, but
Brendan Feldmann finished his night with six innings pitched, eight strikeouts, and his third victory of the season.Â
Devin Breihan threw two scoreless innings, while
Lucas Tibbs pitched a near-perfect ninth inning to help seal the 11-4 win.

The Lions improve to 21-24 on the season and 15-19 in the MIAA. Lindenwood will complete the series with a doubleheader on Friday against Northeastern State. The first game is slated to start at 12 p.m. and senior day recognition will immediately follow the conclusion of the second game.
