The Lindenwood women's soccer team roared back from a late 1-0 deficit to defeat Nebraska-Kearney 2-1 in overtime on Sunday afternoon in Kearney, Neb.

The Lopers picked up their lone goal in the 37th minute after a shot from the right side that snuck in through the near side post. The Lions kept pushing as the clock dwindled down, but the late push allowed
Alyssa Houck to hammer in the game-tying goal in the 87th minute. Less than 30 seconds into overtime,
Jordan Wipke took a shot from 40 yards out to score the game winner to complete the wild comeback.

Becky Roberts tallied three shots on the day including two on goal, while
Mary McGilvray compiled eight saves in the game.

Lindenwood improves to 4-6-0 on the year and 1-2-0 in the MIAA while the Lopers fall to 3-5-2 on the season and 0-3-0 in conference play. The Lions return to Hunter Stadium on Friday when they host Northeastern State at 7 p.m. in St. Charles, Mo.
