Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Fast-Paced Game Ends in 3-1 Loss for Women's Soccer

The Lindenwood women's soccer team lost 3-1 to Northeastern State on Friday night at Hunter Stadium in St. Charles, Mo.
 
The Lions controlled the early part of the game as they outshot the RiverHawks 6-3 and had a 7-0 advantage in corner kicks.  Northeastern State scored a goal late in the first half and took the 1-0 lead into the break.  The RiverHawks scored another goal midway through the second half and added another later in the game.
 
Katie Juhlin scored her second goal of the season in the 88th minute to put the Lions on the board.  Mary McGilvray tallied four saves on the night while the Lions posted 10 shots in the game.
 
Lindenwood falls to 4-7-0 on the season and 1-3-0 in the MIAA while the RiverHawks improve to 10-0-0 on the year and 4-0-0 in conference play.  The Lions return to action on Sunday for a 2 p.m. against Central Oklahoma at Hunter Stadium in St. Charles, Mo.
