The men's soccer team played a strong game against Fort Hays State, but lost 2-1 on Sunday at Hunter Stadium in St. Charles, Mo.
 
Michele Ganz netted the first goal of the game in the early stage of the second half.  Ganz took a shot from close range and found the rebound nearing the end line, but was able to get spin on the ball to score from the tough angle.  Fort Hays State scored less than 10 minutes later to tie the game and added the go-ahead goal in the 80th minute.
 
Lindenwood pressed near the end of the game, but could not mount a comeback in the 2-1 loss.  Tim Licht made seven saves on the day while Joshua Scholl and Ganz each tallied two shots on goal.
 
Lindenwood falls to 6-5-0 on the season and 2-2-0 in the MIAA while Fort Hays State improves to 6-4-2 on the year and 4-0-0 in conference play.  The Lions return to action Wednesday when they host Delta State at 1 p.m. from Hunter Stadium in St. Charles, Mo.
