The Lindenwood men's soccer team secured a 5-0 victory over Southwest Baptist on Friday afternoon from Hunter Stadium in St. Charles, Mo. Steven Lilako recorded the first multi-goal game of his career to lead all scorers.

Lindenwood broke a scoreless tie in the 28th minute of the match, registering an own goal off of a corner kick, and taking a 1-0 lead.

The Lions added another goal in the 36th minute, extending the lead to two goals before halftime. Gaspar Alvarez blasted a kick from 12 yards out, netting his third goal of the season in the process. Adnan Mahmutovic picked up the assist on the play.

Lilako scored the first of his two goals in the 70th minute, making a move past the diving Southwest Baptist goalkeeper, and depositing the ball into the vacant net.

Lilako struck again in the 81st minute, this time heading the ball in off of a pass from Ian Barger.

Andres Gutierrez capped the Lindenwood scoring for the afternoon in the 85th minute of the match, firing a shot from 26 yards out, to send the Lions ahead by a score of 5-0. For Gutierrez, the goal was the first of his Lindenwood career.
