The Lindenwood men's basketball team ended 2017 on a high note as it won for the first time on Missouri-St. Louis' home court. The Lions defeated the Tritons on Sunday afternoon by a 77-64 margin.

Lindenwood took control of the game in the first 20 minutes with a strong defensive effort. The Lions held Missouri-St. Louis to just 34.6 percent shooting from the field in the half, including three-of-11 from three-point range. Lindenwood hit six three-pointers in the first half and grabbed a 29-22 lead at the break.

The second half turned into a free-throw shooting contest, as the two teams went to charity stripe a combined 45 times. The Lions hit 20-of-22, while the Tritons were just 11-of-23. Missouri-St. Louis could never get closer than six points in the final half, and Lindenwood led by double-digits for the final 6:36 of the contest.

Adam Pohlman had a career-high 19 points, and was one of four players in double-figures.
Chandler Diekvoss had 16 points, and team-highs with eight rebounds and three assists.
Jackson Price scored 14 points off the bench, and
Brad Newman had 11, including eight-of-eight shooting from the free-throw line.

With the win, Lindenwood defeated Missouri-St. Louis for consecutive times for the first time in program history. It also won on the road against the Tritons for the first time in eight games.

Lindenwood improves to 10-3 on the season, and it ends the regular season with an 8-1 non-conference record. The Lions resume conference play on Thursday when they travel to Northeastern State for a 7:30 p.m. game.
