Women's Hockey Visits Minnesota State this Weekend

Series Notes:
- The Lindenwood women's hockey team plays its final two games of the 2017 calendar year on December 8-9 in Mankato, Minn. The Lions will take on the Minnesota State Mavericks for a two-game series at Verizon Center.

- Minnesota State leads the all-time series, 14-3-2 dating back to the start of the 2011 season. The Mavericks hold a 7-2-1 record in games played in Mankato, Minn.

- Lindenwood hosted Minnesota State for a two-game series earlier this season in Wentzville, Mo. The Lions dropped the opening game of the series by a score of 4-1, before skating to a 2-2 tie during the series finale.

Lindenwood Notes:
- Taylor Girard scored one goal in each of Lindenwood's two games at Syracuse on Dec. 1-2. Girard leads Lindenwood with 10 goals and 17 points this season.

- Girard is the second-fastest player in Lindenwood history to reach the 10-goal plateau in a season. Shara Jasper scored her 10th goal of the season in the first seven games during the 2015-16 campaign.

- Girard's empty-net goal on Dec. 2 with one second remaining on the clock established a new program record for latest goal scored in a period.

- Sierra Burt netted the first game-winning goal of her career on Dec. 2 at Syracuse. Burt joins Shannon Morris-Reade and Erin Near as the only Lions with game-deciding scores this season.

- Burt was selected as the CHA Rookie of the Week on Dec. 3, the second time she has earned the honor this season. Lindenwood leads the CHA with three Rookie of the Week selections this season.

- Courtney Ganske dished out her team-leading eighth assist at Syracuse on Dec. 1. Ganske is currently averaging 0.57 assists per game this season, the second-best mark in program history.

- Cierra Paisley assisted on both Lindenwood goals on Dec. 2 at Syracuse. With her third multi-assist game of the season, Paisley raised her season total to seven assists, one shy of a new career-high.

- Britannia Gillanders picked up her second assist of the season on Dec. 2 at Syracuse. The assist was the 21st of her career, moving her into sole possesion of 10th place in program history.

- Jolene deBruyn posted her second-career shutout on Dec. 2 at Syracuse. DeBruyn stopped all 24 shots she faced during Lindenwood's 2-0 victory.

- DeBruyn is just the second goaltender in program history to have multiple career shutouts, joining Nicole Hensley, who finished her four-year Lindenwood career with four shutouts.
