The Lindenwood baseball team lost 2-1 to West Alabama on Friday afternoon in Livingston, Ala. in a defensive battle.
 
Ryan Sosnowski and Drew Quinones each tallied two hits in the game while Bobby Lang had the only extra-base-hit with his double in the second inning.  Paul Sherwood drove in the only run for the Lions in the second inning as a groundout allowed Rayce Singbush to cross the plate.  Lindenwood left nine runners stranded and tallied six hits in the game.
 
Austin Georgen picked up the loss in the game, but threw four innings and allowed just two runs on five hits and tallied three strikeouts.  DJ Hickey tossed three scoreless innings while allowing just two hits and compiled four strikeouts.  Brendan Feldmann threw one inning in relief and registered two strikeouts in a one-two-three inning.
 
Lindenwood falls to 1-3 on the season while the Tigers move to 2-2 on the year.  The Lions will begin a three-game series against Mississippi College on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. in Clinton, Miss.
