The Lindenwood men's basketball team continued its recent strong defense, but it couldn't generate enough points on Thursday night in Maryville, Mo. in a 68-52 loss to No. 3 Northwest Missouri.

The Lions held the Bearcats to 12 points below their season average, and they were just the fourth team to keep Northwest Missouri under 70 points. Lindenwood struggled offensively, especially in the second half, and finished with its lowest point total of the year.
