The Lindenwood baseball team cruised to a 15-5 win over Nebraska-Kearney to earn the first conference-sweep of the season on Friday afternoon at the Lou Brock Sports Complex in St. Charles, Mo.

Kyle Teter had a big day with four RBI on two hits while
Conor Behrens had three hits including two triples as he drove in two runs.Â
Connor Law dominated the series out of the pen as he tallied a save in all three games including a one-pitch save on Friday.Â
Andrew Eilers tossed 6.1 innings and registered seven strikeouts to earn his third win of the season.

Lindenwood scored in the second inning after Behrens started the inning with a triple and scored on a
Mark Melville single through the right side of the infield. Nebraska-Kearney took the lead in the top of the fourth inning after scoring three runs on three hits and two fielding errors by the Lions. Lindenwood stayed the course and found offensive production in the bottom of the sixth.

Behrens started the inning with a single and a pinch-hit single by
Sam Baxter put runners at the corners.Â
Paul Sherwood drew a walk and
Tyler Muehling hit a two-RBI single up the middle to tie the game at 3-3.Â
Drew Quinones hit a double to right field to drive in Muehling and Sherwood to give Lindenwood a 5-3 lead as all of the runs in the sixth inning came with two outs.

The two teams traded runs in the seventh inning and the Lopers cut the Lindenwood lead to 6-5 after the top of the eighth. Lindenwood piled on the run in the eighth inning as an RBI single up the middle by Teter began the scoring. Behrens hit a two-RBI triple to center field and Melville hits a double down the left field line to add another run. The Lions scored three more runs before Teter ended the game with a three-RBI triple put the Lions up by 10 runs. Lindenwood scored nine runs in the bottom of the eighth to close out the game and win 15-5 on Friday.

Lindenwood improves to 13-7 on the season and 6-3 in the MIAA while the Lopers drop to 7-11 on the year and 0-6 in conference play. The Lions will travel to Springfield, Ill. on Wednesday to take on Illinois-Springfield at 2 p.m.
