Cromer Nets Four Goals, Solomon Stops Eight Shots During Milestone Victory for Women's Lacrosse

The Lindenwood women's lacrosse team won its 19th game of the season on Saturday afternoon, helping the team complete the first undefeated regular season in its program history. The Lady Lions defeated the Rockhurst Hawks by a final score of 13-2 from Kansas City, Mo.
 
Sarah Cromer led the scoring attack for Lindenwood, equaling a career-high with four goals. Cromer tallied two goals during each half, including two second-half scores in a 54-second span.
 
Hannah Doughty also recorded a four-point performance for Lindenwood, consisting of three goals and one assist. Cassie Stucklen was the only other Lady Lion to have multiple goals, finishing the game with two goals and one assist. Jenna Battaglini, Sarah Goetz, Morgan Judd, and Hunter Waldau were the other goal scorers for Lindenwood.
 
Carly Fedorowski led the defensive effort for the Lady Lions, causing a team-high four turnovers. Molly Beckham and Remi Larson each caused two turnovers. Beckham also paced Lindenwood with a team-leading four ground balls, while Stucklen led the team with three secured draw controls.
 
Delaney Solomon earned her sixth victory of the season in goal for Lindenwood, stopping eight of the nine shots sent in her direction. Aly Smith relieved Solomon midway through the second half, registering two saves during her time in goal.
 
Following the victory, Lindenwood improves its record to 19-0 overall and 9-0 from within the RMAC. Lindenwood's 19 victories equal the single-season program record set by the 2015 squad, which won 19 of its 21 contests en route to the national semifinal game.
 
Lindenwood will enter next weekend's RMAC tournament as the No. 1 overall seed. The Lady Lions will have a bye through the tournament's quarterfinal round, and will next play in the semifinal round on Friday, May 5.
