Lindenwood women's hockey head coach
Scott Spencer recently announced the addition of
Beth Hanrahan to the team's coaching staff for the upcoming 2017-18 season.
"I am excited to have Beth join our staff here at Lindenwood," said Spencer. "Beth was a very good college player that will bring a great work ethic and excitement to our group. She has a desire to learn and ambition to be a great coach, which should help us transition seamlessly."
Hanrahan played collegiately at Providence College from 2011-2015, before playing professionally with the New York Riveters of the National Women's Hockey League (NWHL) during the 2015-16 season. A native of Silver Spring, Md., Hanrahan accumulated 75 points during her four-year career at Providence. Hanrahan scored 45 goals as a Friar, including a team-leading 15 goals during her senior season. Hanrahan served as the team captain during the 2014-15 season, and was selected as Providence's most valuable player during her junior and senior campaigns.
"I am thrilled to be joining the coaching staff at Lindenwood University," said Hanrahan. "I look forward to working with the team and contributing to the growth and success of the program."
Before arriving at Lindenwood, Hanrahan gained coaching experience as an assistant coach for the U16 team at Shattuck St. Mary's. As an assistant on the staff at Shattuck St. Mary's, Hanrahan was tasked with creating and implementing on and off-ice training programs and strategies to prepare elite athletes for collegiate play.
