The Lindenwood women's soccer team had one of its best season openers in program history on Friday afternoon in St. Paul, Minn. The Lady Lions scored six times and shut out Minnesota Crookston.

Lindenwood's newcomers made a quick impact with three goals in the first 17 minutes of the game. Kyleigh Kristensen scored the first goal in the eight minute, and added another one in the 15th minute. Katie Juhlin netted her first collegiate goal just over two minutes later. The Lady Lions outshot Minnesota Crookston by an 11-2 margin in the first half as they took complete control of the game.
