The Lindenwood Lions women's soccer team won a thrilling 1-0 game in overtime on Sunday afternoon against Concordia-St. Paul.

Both team's defense played a stellar game from the opening kick. Through regulation the teams combined had just 19 shots on goal.

Three minutes into the first overtime the Lions were awarded a corner kick.
Jordan Wipke would send over a perfect cross to the front of the net and senior forward
Becky Roberts would do the rest. Roberts finsihed the perfect pass with a header for her second goal of the season the game winner.
Mary McGilvray recorded her second straight shutout in the net and has yet to give up a goal in the 2017 season. For the game McGilvray stopped all five shots that she saw.

The Lions are now 2-0 on the season and will return home Tuesday night for their home opener. The University of Illinois-Springfield Prairie Stars will come to Hunter Stadium on Tuesday night for a 7 pm kickoff.
