The Lindenwood women's soccer team lost 5-0 to No. 24 Missouri Western on Sunday in St. Joseph, Mo.

The Lions struggled to generate offense in the game as Lindenwood tallied just six shots on the day compared to 22 for the Griffons. Mary McGilvary made eight stops while
Morgan Weller led the team with two shots.Â
Payton Williams had the only shot on goal for the Lions as the team had just one corner kick in the game.

Lindenwood falls to 3-3 on the year while No. 24 Missouri Western improves to 6-0. The Lions will return to action on Friday at 7:30 p.m. to take on Northwest Missouri at Hunter Stadium in St. Charles, Mo.
