Women's Soccer Runs Out of Gas in Double OT

The Lindenwood women's soccer team lost 2-1 in double overtime to Northwest Missouri on Friday night at Hunter Stadium.
 
The Bearcats jumped on the board first in the 33rd minute with a goal from 22 yards out.  The Lions tied the game in the second half with a cross by Becky Roberts to Morgan Weller for a goal in the 56th minute.  Northwest Missouri scored the game winner in the second overtime on a break down the left side to end the game.
 
Lindenwood falls to 3-4 on the year and the Bearcats improve to 3-3 on the season.  The Lions will close out the weekend with a 4 p.m. game against No. 23 Missouri Western on Sunday at Hunter Stadium in St. Charles, Mo.
